PITTSBURGH – During the evening of July 31, 2025, a maintenance employee was involved in a significant incident at the Alumar smelter carbon plant. The employee was fatally injured and later passed away.
Alcoa is deeply saddened by this tragedy and has expressed the Company’s sincerest condolences to the employee’s loved ones.
Alcoa is working with its partners and relevant authorities to conduct an investigation and to ensure the necessary steps are being taken to achieve the highest standards of health and safety throughout the entire organization.
